Meet Jessica (she/her)
MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, SANE-A, SANE-P
Origin Story
Jessica has always been drawn to healing—both in the scientific and human sense. From a young age, she was fascinated by how the body works, how it breaks down, and more importantly, how it can be restored. As a child, she was known for bringing anatomy textbooks to the dinner table and sharing what she learned with her family.
This passion for healing led her into nursing, where she built a strong foundation with over a decade of inpatient experience—2 years in inpatient adolescent and child psychiatry, and over 10 years in labor and delivery. Her path as a nurse practitioner was shaped not just by her clinical work, but by lived experience: witnessing loved ones and patients fall through the cracks of a broken system, especially in areas like addiction, severe mental illness, and gender-affirming care.
Jessica became a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner over the course of 16 years of education and training. She’s also a SANE-trained provider with nearly a decade of trauma-informed practice as a forensic nurse examiner, working with patients who’ve been abused, neglected, marginalized, or dismissed by traditional healthcare systems.
She created Solace Psychiatry & Wellness to be the kind of place she wished existed—for patients who are often overlooked, disrespected, or made to feel invisible. Her practice is rooted in compassion, science, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported in their healing journey.
Jessica was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, and now resides in Norman with her husband, Ron, their two kiddos, two dogs, and three cats. Her family life brings her joy, balance, and a grounded perspective that she carries into her patient care every day.
