Addiction Medicine
At Solace Psychiatry & Wellness, we believe that recovery should be accessible, compassionate, and judgment-free. We provide low-barrier addiction medicine services in Oklahoma for people living with substance use disorders—especially those who have felt let down, overlooked, or mistreated by traditional systems.

A Judgment-Free Zone
Addiction is not a moral failure. It’s not who you are—it’s something you’re living with. We treat every patient with respect, kindness, and dignity, no matter where you are in your recovery. You don’t have to be “clean” or off all substances to be cared for. You don’t have to use the right words or know exactly what kind of help you need. You just have to show up, and we’ll take it from there—together.
What We Treat
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with Suboxone
We offer support for people using or recovering from: - Opioids (prescription painkillers, heroin, fentanyl) - Alcohol - Methamphetamine - Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin) - Other substances, including polysubstance use. We also provide psychiatric support for co-occurring conditions like depression, PTSD, anxiety, and ADHD. If you’re managing both substance use and mental health challenges (also known as dual diagnosis), you can receive care for both at Solace Psychiatry & Wellness.
We provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), a science-backed approach to recovery that combines medications with supportive care. One of the primary tools we use is buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), which helps reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms for people with opioid use disorder.
Suboxone can be life-changing. It allows many patients to stop using opioids without going through agonizing withdrawal. It also provides stability, so you can focus on healing, rebuilding your life, and reconnecting with your goals.
Other MAT options may also be discussed depending on your history, current substance use, and treatment plan. We will take time to explain all options in plain language and partner with you to make decisions that align with your values.
What “Low-Barrier” Means Here
You won’t be required to attend 12-step meetings, submit to frequent drug tests, or meet abstinence milestones to continue receiving care. You won’t be kicked out for relapsing. Our approach is rooted in harm reduction—supporting your safety, stability, and autonomy without shame or punishment.
Here’s what else low-barrier addiction care means at Solace: - No waiting list for care—appointments available quickly - No judgment, even if you’ve relapsed - No requirements for abstinence or program participation - Supportive care, even if you’re “not ready” to quit completely - Flexible follow-up options (in-person or telehealth)
We see relapse as a part of many people’s recovery journey—not a failure. We believe in second chances and meeting you exactly where you are.
What to Expect
Your first appointment will last about 60–90 minutes. You’ll discuss: - Your history with substances - Past and current treatments - Medical and mental health background - Your goals, fears, and questions about recovery.
We will walk you through the medication options and what to expect, then build a treatment plan with you—not for you. Follow-up appointments are generally required monthly for patients on controlled substances like buprenorphine, and we remain available between visits to address medication concerns or adjust your plan as needed.
Patients often describe our style as “no pressure, but very present.” We’ll show up for you without shaming or pushing you into a path you’re not ready for.
For People Who’ve Been Harmed by the System
We have worked with survivors of trauma, incarceration, homelessness, and abuse. We know how hard it can be to trust a provider again after being judged or hurt by the medical system. That’s why we make emotional safety a top priority. If you’ve been criminalized, misdiagnosed, or ignored—your story is welcome here.
You don’t need to have the “right words” to talk about what you’ve experienced. We will move at your pace and let you decide what to share. There’s no script to follow, no hoops to jump through. Just real care from someone who wants to help you move forward.
Serving the Oklahoma City Metro Area
Solace Psychiatry & Wellness serves patients located in Oklahoma. If you’ve been searching for buprenorphine providers, addiction treatment, or trauma-informed care in Oklahoma, you’ve found a place where you’ll be treated with compassion and respect.
Patients often find us after being turned away from other providers or feeling like they had to “perform” recovery in order to be accepted. Here, there are no perfect patients. Only people trying their best—and being met with care exactly where they are at, without conditions.
Recovery on Your Terms
You don’t have to be in crisis to get help. You don’t have to be sober to be supported. You don’t even have to know what recovery means to you yet. We are here to help you figure it out, at your own pace.
Recovery looks different for everyone. Whether your goal is to stop using completely, reduce your harm, or just feel a little more in control, your goals are valid. You deserve care that honors your timeline and your truth.
