What services do you offer?

We provide trauma-informed psychiatric care including: - Psychiatric medication management - Addiction medicine and buprenorphine (Suboxone/Subutex) treatment - Gender-affirming care - Optional GeneSight genetic testing and/or Neurotransmitter testing

We serve children and adults located in Oklahoma. Learn more on the Services page.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we are currently accepting new patients for in-person and telehealth appointments. To request a visit, fill out the Contact form or call during business hours (Tuesday–Thursday, 9AM–5PM, Friday, 9AM-12PM).

Do I have to take medication to be a patient?

No. While medication is often part of care, it’s not required. We support patients who prefer to explore therapy, lifestyle changes, or a blend of approaches. Your care plan will be built around your preferences and goals.

What is GeneSight testing, and is it required?

GeneSight is a cheek-swab DNA test that helps identify which psychiatric medications may work best for your body. It’s completely optional, though we may recommend it to help reduce trial-and-error with prescriptions. Most insurance plans cover the cost.

How long is the first appointment?

New patient intakes are 60–90 minutes. During this time, we will review your medical and mental health history, talk through your goals, and begin building a care plan with you.

What happens after my first appointment?

Follow-ups are typically 30 minutes. You’ll discuss how you’re feeling, make medication adjustments if needed, and talk through anything that’s come up since your last visit. We work collaboratively, so you’re always part of the decision-making process.

Do you offer in-person or virtual visits?

Both. We see patients in-person at our Norman office or via secure telehealth. You can choose whichever feels best for you—or alternate as needed.

Do you treat co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders?

Yes. We specialize in dual diagnosis care. If you’re navigating both substance use and a mental health condition like depression, anxiety, or PTSD, she will help you create a supportive, low-barrier treatment plan.

Will I be required to stop using substances to receive care?

No. Solace Psychiatry & Wellness follows a harm reduction model. You will never be judged for where you are in your journey. Recovery is supported—not forced—and relapse is never met with shame.

How do I request a medication refill?

Please submit all refill requests during business hours. You can message through the patient portal or call the office. Allow 2–3 business days for processing.

What if I need help outside of office hours?

We do not provide emergency services. If you’re in crisis, please call 988, 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. For non-urgent needs, you can leave a message or use the contact form, and we will respond within 24–48 business hours (Tuesday–Friday).
